My name is Sonia Burgess and I am your Curtin University Pharmacist. I graduated with a B.Pharm in 1995 and with a Grad.Dip.Pharm in 1996 from Tas Uni and a M.B.A from Curtin University in 2012. I bought my first pharmacy when I was 24 and remain part owner of this pharmacy. My team has won numerous service awards throughout our history and now I look forward to getting to know and serving the Curtin Community.
I have had quite an amazing life journey to date and one which I can use to help you achieve your greatest dreams. I have a six year old son Harry, and my partner, his father died in 2008 after losing a long standing battle with depression. We also lost our first born child, Ella Grace in 2004. I was first diagnosed with depression when I was 17 and have spent my life journey learning how to manage my depression and anxiety and how to best educate my son in understanding emotions, feelings and the physiological and spiritual components of happiness.
I know that life can be tough but if we do the best we can and strive ever towards clear goals you will achieve what it is you are here for...to make a difference!
